Dear Satmya Yoga students
It is with happiness that I wish to announce that weeknight Hatha yoga classes are returning to Satmya Yoga next week……with a twist. I (Michael “aka the husband”) will be teaching them.
I know I have large (for a size five) shoes to fill in Felicity’s absence, but I am confident that you will be in safe and capable hands.
Classes will be 90 minutes, all-level Hatha classes that cater to the needs of all of those in attendance (from beginners to more advanced students) and will be relatively similar to classes you have previously enjoyed with Felicity.
I have been practicing yoga for many years and enjoy all aspects of Hatha yoga. Expect a variety of asana (postures), breathing exercises (pranayama), guided relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation.
I completed my Yoga Teacher Training (Level 1) with Ashram Yoga in Parnell in 2008 under the guidance of Swami Shantimurti, and am a Y200 Yoga Alliance recognised Teacher. I have taught yoga in private lessons and in a variety of group settings including mens personal development workshops and primary schools. I am also a trained Gym Instructor (YMCA in the UK) and have a post-graduate diploma in teaching (Primary).
Classes will be Monday evenings at 7pm and Thursday evenings at 8pm, and will last 90 minutes.
To give you a chance to come along before Term 3 starts and get your fix of calm, I’m running two school holiday classes – Monday 18th July and Thursday 21st July. Please book for these school holiday classes by email (email@example.com) or via txt (021 027 85550).
Term 3 runs for 10 weeks and will begin Monday 25th July and Thursday 28th July. Please visit our timetable page for more info on Term 3 dates and pricing. To secure your place for Term 3 classes, please book online.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat.
